On a Horvarn Edu subdomain
Horvarn Edu installs updates for you in the night window, takes the backup and watches the result. You only see what's new.
On your own server
- The app fetches the signed package from the Horvarn Edu update server.
- It checks the Horvarn Edu signature, every file's SHA-256 and your licence.
- It backs up the files and the database.
- It installs, runs the database changes and checks itself.
- If anything looks wrong, it rolls back to the restore point.
Nothing installs if the signature doesn't match. A changed or unsigned package is refused.
