About these terms
These terms apply to the Hovarns account and to the tools Hovarn Meet, Hovarn Chat, Hovarn Classic and Hovarn Examy at hovarns.sbsngl.org (together, the “Services”), provided by Hovarns [legal name and address]. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the privacy notice.
Your account
- You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping that Google account secure.
- One person per account. Do not share your account or sign in as someone else.
- Keep your contact details on Google current, because that is how we recognise you.
Age
You must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or lawful guardian who has read and accepted these terms and the privacy notice on your behalf. A parent or guardian who gives consent is responsible for the child’s use of the Services.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Services to:
- break any law, or upload content you have no right to share (including others’ copyrighted material);
- harass, threaten, bully, impersonate or discriminate against anyone, or share sexual content involving minors (we report this to the authorities);
- help anyone cheat in an exam or assessment they are not allowed to get help with;
- send spam, malware or phishing, or try to break into, overload, scrape or test the security of the Services without our written permission;
- record a meeting without telling the people in it.
You can report content in Chat, or call us. We may remove content that breaks these rules.
Your content
You keep the rights to what you create and upload. You give Hovarns a limited licence to store, copy, process and show it only to provide the Services to you and the people you share it with (for example, members of a chat, or people taking your test). The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies kept in backups for the period stated in the privacy notice.
Questions from the public question bank keep their own licences and credits. Do not remove the credit when you use them.
Availability (beta)
The Services are free and in beta. They run on shared hosting and are provided “as is” and “as available”, without guarantees of uptime, speed or that data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important (each tool lets you export). Some features depend on third parties such as Google and Jitsi (8x8); for example, calls on the free Jitsi server end after about five minutes.
The domain and hosting currently used are planned to change; [describe migration and notice period].
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or when the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data.
You can stop using the Services at any time and delete your account from your account page. Deleting your account deletes your data as described in the privacy notice.
Liability
[Limitation of liability and indemnity clauses to be drafted with legal review, consistent with Indian consumer protection law.]
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. [Courts of [city] have jurisdiction.]
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will show it when you next sign in, and continuing to use the Services means you accept it.
