Accessibility statement

What works today, what does not yet, and how to tell us. We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA; we do not claim to be fully accessible.

Our target

The Hovarns websites aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What works

  • Every page works with a keyboard, with a visible red focus ring and a "Skip to content" link.
  • Moving between pages does not reload the page, and screen readers hear the new page title.
  • If your device asks for reduced motion, there is no smooth scrolling, no film on the home page and no scroll-driven motion.
  • The home page film can be paused with a button, and it stops when it is off screen.
  • Tamil text on the Horvarn Edu pages uses Noto Sans Tamil, so it renders correctly.
  • Status and form errors are shown with words and shapes, never colour alone.

Known limits

  • Hovarn Meet uses Jitsi, a third-party video service. Its controls are outside our control and may not meet our target.
  • The Horvarn Edu Coaching explainer film has no captions on the site yet. Its voice script is the source for them.
  • The demo app is a preview and has not been fully reviewed.
